Season 9 of Diablo 4, titled Sins of the Horadrim, brings a fresh and innovative endgame mode called Escalating Nightmares. This new feature is designed to push players to their limits by chaining together three Nightmare Dungeons, each growing progressively more difficult. The concept behind Escalating Nightmares is simple yet effective: complete one Nightmare Dungeon, then move immediately into the next, with all previous affixes carrying over and compounding. This stacking means that the third dungeon in the chain is the most punishing, featuring all the affixes from the first two combined.
